Healthvision Wins New Zealand’s Top Dog Friendly Workplace 2021

In 2021, Healthvision were awarded New Zealand’s Top Dog Friendly Workplace.

During all levels of COVID-19 lockdown, the healthcare heroes at Healthvision continued to work around the clock, working long hours.

Due to working long hours away from home, and with doggy day-care centres closed down and pet-sitters unable to travel, many of our staff brought their dogs into the workplace.

And so the Healthvision Health PAWfessionals team was formed!

Meet some of the PAWfessionals Team!

Brand Ambassador – Eddie. Eddie brings more than just joy and comfort to the essential workers at Healthvision, he has reduced stress and improved job satisfaction in the office and played an important role in educating staff (and our social media audience) on staying safe and keeping healthy during the Covid-19 pandemic. While the Healthvision heroes provide constant care for others, the loveable Eddie has in return provided therapy and comfort to staff by making himself available for pats and cuddles and walks. Eddie oozes energy and cuteness! The vibe in the office is different when Eddie is around — everyone's a bit more relaxed and playful. A much needed distraction in this demanding industry!

Director of Cuteness – Milly. Milly is an 11 year old Chihuahua and brings much love and joy to our Palmerston North office. Milly has been working in health care and rest homes since she was 5 months old. Without a doubt, visitors to our office can’t deny how a chance meeting with Milly can really change their day.

Director of Workplace Morale – Ruby. Ruby is a Golden Retriever, Border Collie cross. She loves people, treats, and cuddles. Ruby has cared for her elderly Gran all her life and personally understands what it is like to have two knee replacements and a fused back. But this does not stop her wanting to play! Nothing beats a cuddle from Ruby when you are having a tough day. Having Ruby in the office certainly benefits employee well-being and makes Healthvision a fun place to work.
