World Wellbeing Week: Supporting Health at Work

As part of World Wellbeing Week, we were delighted to host an engaging and practical online wellbeing session for our team today, led by Kevin, Clinical Lead – Allied Health Services, alongside his team.

The session focused on simple yet effective ways we can stay active, healthy, and comfortable while working at our desks—something many of us benefit from in our day-to-day roles. Kevin shared valuable insights into the importance of good posture, highlighting how small adjustments can make a big difference in preventing strain and long-term discomfort. From sitting upright with proper screen alignment to keeping shoulders relaxed, it was a great reminder of how easily we can fall into habits like hunching over our screens.

The team also guided us through a series of easy desk-based stretches, designed to relieve tension in the neck, shoulders, back, and wrists. These movements can be done throughout the day to improve circulation, reduce stiffness, and keep us feeling energised. We also explored simple breathing exercises to help us reset, manage stress, and support both physical and mental wellbeing.

Adding to the session, Nicole, our Rehab Coach, created a helpful video demonstrating desk exercises, which has been shared across our social media channels—making it easy for everyone to revisit and incorporate these tips into their daily routines.

It was a fantastic and interactive session, with plenty of practical takeaways that we can all build into our workdays.

At Healthvision, we not only focus on the wellbeing of the communities we support, but also on the health and wellbeing of our people. 💙
